October, 1979 on the occasion of

the Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of Nation and Birth Anniversary of Late Shri. Lal Bahadur Shastri, the Ex. Prime Minister ofIndia, by Late. Principal BALASAHEB MHATRE. Since then the Institutehas grown up immensely in size and academy status. From 1979 it hasmassively grown imputing education in various fields. Today the Institutecan proudly claim credit for 6 Degree Colleges, 2 Law Colleges, 1 Polytechnic, 8 Junior Colleges, 15 Secondary Schools, 14 Primary Schools, 14 Pre-Primary Schools, 2 Study Centres of National Instituteof Open Schooling, Noida & 9 Computer Education Centres. The Educational Institution, have build up trusted name in the field of Education. The Institute looks after the all around development of students

personality in providing facilities for Co curricular, Extra-curricular & Social activities. The main object of the Institute is to provide education for the poorand deprived class people.

DPSS Badlapur is one of the units of Dnyan Prasarak Shikshan Sanstha, its operative in Badlapur one of the fastest growing city on MMR region. In Badlapur the Trust runs 4 colleges out of which 2 are Degree Colleges , 1 Junior College and 1 Polytechnic Engineering College.

The Trust has about 14 Acers of Land collectively in Badlapur City and Rural limits.
